This creamy satin colored carnation diffuser is made of natural fibers.
It's a pleasant departure from reeds ~ and lovelier to look at for a change.
It's available in a complete kit, but I like saving money and styling my own arrangement.
It can be used with any small container you have that holds water
as long as the opening of the vase is at least a 1/2" to insert the wick.
I used a 3 1/2" tall vase with 2" opening which holds 1/2 cup of water
and the wick just touches the bottom.
The flower is 3" in diameter.
For now the vase is on the warmest side of a room near a furnace vent.
The water evaporates in 5 to 7 days.
Simply fill the container with water ~ add your favorite fragrance oil drops.
If a strong quality fragrant oil is used, say like some of the Slatkin & Co. line from Bath & Body
about 1/4 of their .33 fl. oz. bottle makes the solution a nice strength .
Then place the flower in the vase.
An optional ~ but nice touch is a sheer, neutral color large bow around the neck of the vase.
The carnation eventually absorbs the solution and primates it's surroundings.
By absorbing the solution the flower eventually look tea stained
on the tips of the pedals ~ which I like even better.
This is a pleasant addition to any room.
Add more water/fragrance when the solution evaporates.
