This is a very thick olive oil-y liquid. Fortuantely my son loves olive oil and lemon lime, which this is flavored with. I imagine that some kids would not want to take this but if you can get them to, it's a great source of omega 3's if nothing else. Very difficult to gauge if this helps the attention span but it's worth a try if you're also implenting other non-pharmaceutical solutions.
