I bought this product to make my own homemade sunscreen. I recently started working on an Organic Farm. As you can imagine I was applying and reapplying sunscreen daily. Even though I bought natural sunscreen I wasn't convinced it was good for my skin. This is how I made it. I added Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Essential Lavender oil and Essential Lemon grass oil. I used 2 oz of The RR Seed oil for a batch of 30 ounces of final product. My skin is thanking me for it. It is really nice and smells heavenly. One day I went to the farm to work for only 2 hours and did not put any sunscreen on. The 2 hrs turned into 4 and I got a little burnt. I went straight home, showered and applied the sunscreen on. It seemed to turn it tan within hours. I went to my second job and everyone kept telling me how nice I smelled. Use a double boiler to melt the Shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax. Mix the other 4 liquid ingredients in a large bowl or I used a large Pyrex measuring cup. Once melted down mix all ingredients together and pour directly into your containers. Have them ready and open as the solids will harden back up fast. Using the Pyrex allowed me to sit it in the hot water from the double boiler to liquify the last bit that stuck to the sides. It dries to a beautiful almost chap stick like consistency. Which just made me think a large deodorant tube might be the way to go as far as containers are concerned. Let me know what you think if you make it.I use the oil cleansing method for washing my face (using a different oil), and then I use about 4-5 drops of this oil to moisturize. I have been using this oil for a few weeks now, and I am convinced that it is not only erasing my wrinkles, but is also providing sun protection! I live in Arizona, where the hot, dry desert climate is not forgiving on irish freckled skin, and I can tell you that after spending a full day outside (under shade) my shoulders will have a slight burn, and my face doesn't seem to have had any sun exposure at all. I absolutely love this product! Oh yeah... I don't need to wear makeup anymore either. My skin tone is even, not blotchy at all! Have I mentioned that I love this oil?
