I would like to start by stating that what attracted me to this product was the price. I had checked into many other alternative products, all in the $300+ price range. I thought I would take a chance, and try this distiller. Overall, the distiller does what it is meant to do. Separate the oil from the plant material. However, there are a few issues that I have found after using the distiller a few times.First off, the hydrosol has an odd odor from the rubber tubing used. I have tried washing the tubes without any improvement. Once separating the oil from the hydrosol using a separatory funnel, the smell is gone from the oil, but remains in the hydrosol. If you don't plan on using the hydrosol, this isn't an issue. The second, and dangerous observation I made, is that you cannot add water to the water flask while distilling oils.
From the pressure of the water flask while boiling, if you try to add any water via the funnel, the pressure forces it back up into the tube, than the funnel, and overflows. This is a serious issue!!! DO NOT add water unless you disconnect the water flask, and add it by taking the rubber stopper off. It is the only way to add more water safely.
Apart from the two flaws I mentioned, the only other drawback about this flask is that steam can condense in the bottom of the plant material flask. It takes a few hours before it pools up on the bottom, and sometimes can block the steam from flowing freely. Having stated the cons, if they do not appear to potentially cause issues for you, I would recommend purchasing this essential oil distiller.
For the price, I can deal with the drawbacks. It just takes a little but more effort and TLC to get to the end result. If the issues I mentioned are important to you, I would suggest seeking an alternative distiller.

This is kit is awesome. The flasks are huge, but that's ok. It's great for just about any distilation project. We had to call and have them send another condenser to us because the other one broke during shipping. We had no problems with anything as far as that goes. The only down side to this kit is that it gives off a rubber smell but that can be fixed by replacing the hoses with something better. When adding water to the first flask, through the funnel, when the water cools down a bit, it tends to suck the water from the other flask (condenced due to the second flask not being heated) up into the tube. not too big of a deal though.Read Best Reviews of 2000ml Steam Distillation Essential Oil Extractor Here
I tried replacing the hoses with some food/temperature safe plastic hoses but I still get strong rubber smells in my distillates from the stoppers. The glass is good quality. It totally works, just not for folks trying to preserve essential oils/make booze and have it not smell bad.Want 2000ml Steam Distillation Essential Oil Extractor Discount?
I received all the components in fine condition except for the Graham Condenser. Everything was packed well, except for this. I contacted the vendor via Amazon and they promptly took care of the issue by sending another one. It was a bit bigger than the original and was packed with extra care. The product itself works great. I've made gallons of hydrosol and over 10ml of essential oil. It is a lot of fun and my family loves the products.I bought one of these sets when I first began my alchemical research, it was a good choice and I still use it today, the large flasks can also be used for extractions. I made my first batch of the primum ens mellisa with this. here is a series of nonfiction booklets which are part of a series that is designed to help those who are seeking the philosophers stone.Alchemy And The Golden Process: A Brief Guide To The Great Work (Volume 6), Alchemy and the golden water: Illuminating the celestial ruby, Alchemy And The Ravens Head: The Secret Of The Red Mercury, Alchemy And The Peacocks Tail: The Degrees of The Fire (Volume 3), Alchemy and the golden water: Illuminating the celestial ruby, alchemy and the green lion: the truth of the philosophers stone, Alchemy Survival Guide: The Labyrinth Made Simple (Volume 4)
