Very little smell and what we did smell lasted a very short time. Waste of good Doterra oils on this item. I had better luck with some cotton balls in a zip lock bag and just open it from time to time in the car. That works for weeks! I've been using so many different types of shampoo for my hair which have a tendency to swing from dry to oily depending on my hair's mood.
