I think the general public is under the assumption (as was I) that if you're taking fish oil capsules, you're getting the benefit of essential fatty acids (EFA). Only after listening to programs such as Doctor Oz did I find out that it's the content of fish oil capsules that varies dramatically from product to product. He said the most beneficial EFA is DHA and that we should be aiming to ingest at least 600-1,000 mg. of DHA on a daily basis either through food or supplements. Because I don't like salmon, I did an extensive search on the Internet for a product that contained the highest level of DHA in one capsule. These Mega-DHA capsules from Nature's Way have 500 mg. DHA per capsule, along with 200 mg. EPA and 10 IU of Vitamin E. Two capsules a day is the recommended dose. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because they do result in fishy burps. I wish they contained lemon oil to mask this unpleasant after-taste as another fish oil supplement does that I used to take.
I found this product to be the least expensive through Amazon. And because I'm receiving this order on an automatic basis, the shipping is free!

What the advertising neglects to say is that for the DHA part, coming from tuna and sardines, you get 1g (1000mg) with a 2 pill dosage. These 60 pill bottles should then last 30 days. Nothing wrong with that but the description should really show you the actual label.For full disclosure I see: 20 calories, all from fat; 2g of total fat; 10mg cholesterol;
