I bought this oil to add to homemade skin and hair products,but I'm not terribly jazzed about the smell. It smells VERY sweet, and somewhat synthetic smelling. I was hoping this product would be closer to a vanilla essential oil in odor, but this takes it up a few more notches than I am okay with. It's not a bad scent, just not quite what I was looking for. I had no problems with skin reactions, and I think dilution is key on that note.

The seller did a great job with fast shipping. That being said, this is NOT a true vanilla. To me, it smells like a cross between butter rum and Play-Dough. Pretty stink, kids. I use oils like this to create my own signature fragrance. I use Estee Lauder's Cinnabar, patchouli oil, cinnamon oil, and vanilla. Always get lots of compliments & women especially ask me what perfume I am wearing. So I was really looking forward to receiving this. The scent is anything BUT vanilla. So bad that I won't even use it even in oil warmers. So my purchase hit the trash can. But if you like the great smell of Play-Dough, this is the fragrance oil for you.

It smells ok, but not really that vanilla-ish. More like cookies or something, and it has somewhat of a synthetic smell as many have said. It doesn't irritate my skin or anything though, I may try other oils from this brand.

not a drop of vanilla was in there, try utopia scents they are actually pretty good, their rain perfume is awesome, this company should not advertise with you,eternal essence no way jose.
