I'm a bit skeptical of vitamins, but I've found that these do help my son to focus. He's been taking them for almost two years now, and on his "off" days, I know that he's either getting sick or hasn't taken these vitamins. They are not a miracle and we use other behaviour modification methods to teach him what we expect, but I'm a supporter of them. They may not work for everyone, but they've been great for him. Note that it does take about 2-3 weeks of the daily dose before noticing the full effect.

My SIL had been giving Efalex to her very young daughter who has Down's Syndrome. She decided to stop giving it to her to see if it was really helping. During the week her daughter didn't have it, she became withdrawn and stopped talking. Once my SIL started giving it to her again, she became the outgoing chatty girl she was before. I ordered this for my daughter 3 years ago, after doing much research on all the Omegas that could be given to children. After the brief "load up" period the other reviewer mentioned, I too began to see my daughter was much calmer and it improved her attention. It has been 3 years now and boy has it helped. It has helped my nephew too. Just when I think it is no longer necessary and I forget to give it to her for a few days or run out, I notice a big difference. I would recommend this without ANY hesitation. I have tried others without the same results too. I squeeze the capsules into my daughter's juice and she has gotten used to it. I would like to try the liquid version but I have heard it is only available in Canada and takes several weeks to ship to the U.S. and I don't want to risk being without it. A GODSEND!!
