This package just arrived. I read the side of one of the bottles to discover that the capsules are made of cod liver oil, soybean oil and gelatin. Gelatin is fine and, of course, cod liver oil is good that's the reason I bought this product! But why did they have to cheapen it with the inclusion of soybean oil? I was really disappointed after ordering 3 bottles.

I will still take the capsules, as I believe CLO is beneficial enough to outweigh the unhealthy effects on my body of the soybean oil. It has an opposite effect on the body, from what I understand, and really discounts the benefits of the CLO.

It was an unwise decision on the part of Twinlabs to formulate this way. Soybean oil is an industrial, cheap, overprocessed oil that is foreign to the human body's systems and causes harm to our health.

Soybeans are genetically mutated by certain companies I won't mention (so that they can be mass produced) and extremely over-subsidized by the U.S. government. The reason for this is so that we can stuff cows, chickens and pigs full of soy and corn (another over-subsidized, mass-produced crop) instead of their natural diets, making it easier to factory farm these animals so that we can get cheaper meat at the supermarket. Because of the subsidies, soybeans are used for a variety of overprocessed foods, especially in the form of soybean oil. We don't need to get it from yet another source, ESPECIALLY one that is supposed to provide us with better health!

Soybean oil, being an industrial seed-based oil, is already full of Omega 6 fats that we are trying to counter/balance with the Omega 3 fats in foods and supplements like CLO. So it not only doesn't make sense for this formula to contain both oils, it's counterproductive, wasteful and deceptive.

Twinlabs, I hope you decide to reformulate using purely CLO or at least combining with a healthier, preindustrial oil like olive or grapeseed or similar.

I ordered this product with the idea that this was a quality product. In other words I was expecting this to be pure fish oil of great quality and what I got was yet another company succumbing to the use of soybeans (in this case soybean oil) in their products. I have had a bad run-in with soy-it makes me moody and fogs my brain. Plus all the hormones make me go haywire. All the stories of soy overloading your system with plant hormones are true. Take it from a person with hands on experience with this terrible stuff. I should have known anyways, this was the cheapest deal for cod liver oil I found.

To pull it all together, I am disappointed with this product and intend to send it back. I wish to support companies that believe in purity of their products.

Fish oil, who knew? Take it and forget it. Twice a day with meals. You might get a little fishy burp now and then... But this is a quality brand. I take it all the time and feel better when I do.

These are softgels, which for me are better than the liquid -I tend to move the spoon and slop the liquid around, losing some of it -so with the perles, I just pop a couple in my mouth and chew them.

I also like the fact that this is Norwegian Cod Liver Oil -good quality ingredients.

I recently bought this product and, low and behold... it contains soybean oil!!! I avoid GMO's like the plague and was so bummed. SO, I contacted TwinLab TWICE about whether or not this is GMO soybean oil... and they did not know. How do they now know???? I asked who the soybean provider was and they would not tell me. You know, it's probably farmed in some polluted factory farm in China. SO, now I have 250 softgels sitting on my desk that I'm too afraid to take. I want my $$$ back! SUCH a hassle... GMOs are honestly ruining our whole darn food supply. THANKS FOR NOTHING!
