I wasn't sure what I would be getting when I bought this. I knew cedarwood is from the pine family, and expected a 'piney' aroma. However, it is an unexpected sweet, somewhat earthy scent that is simply delightful to my senses. It doesn't, however, remind me of the scent of cedar like the cedar blocks that you might put in your closet to deter insects. Cedarwood E.O. is known to be good for alopecia areata (hair loss), is great for various skin conditions, and also promotes the release of melatonin which makes it a wonderful combatant for insomnia. It's also good for improving various emotional issues (anxiety, anger). All in all, I feel that Herb Complex's cedarwood essential oil is a wonderful addition to anyone's essential oil collection, if even just for adding to a diffuser to enhance the atmosphere with a sense of calmness and a delightful scent. Try cedarwood with rosemary essential oil, too, for a wonderful scented treat.
