I take take this pill and have no upset stomach or after taste from burps. So no fish breath either. I notice my eyes don't dry out with my contacts in for extended periods and my hair is shinier. Same effect as other products, like NOW DHA 250, Nordic Naturals Omega 3 1000 mg, and Nordic Strawberry DHA 500 mg, but much cheaper than Nordic.

No flavoring used to mask fish taste such as Nordic Naturals, so formula must be pure or it's because Jarrow uses Calamari oil, instead of Sardines and Anchovies, as do the other brands mentioned.

All are 2 soft gel doses with amounts of DHA/EPA listed.

I've purchased the 90 and 180 count from amazon.com because it was even cheaper than getting 30 count bottles at walmart. To my happy surprise these pills are smaller than my old brand and have almost no odor. Yay!

I thought this was, as the name suggests, the most DHA available. However, the amount listed (500mg DHA, 130mg EPA) is for two softgels. Now Foods has a similarly priced product (also 180 softgels) with a similar amount (500mg DHA, 250mg EPA) in each softgel, so you basically get twice as much for a similar price. Max DHA is a good product, but don't let the name fool you (like it did me). For DHA per dollar, it is not max.

My Dr recommended these pills when I was pregnant and I continued to take them afterward for nursing and good health. I have to say that I noticed an improvement in my eye sight and my memory.
