Love this stuff! First read about it at Breaking Muscle and was intrigued as the scent of lavender is so soothing and helps me sleep. After using this, I was very impressed! I use it at bedtime and it is very soothing / comforting and helps me fall asleep (and stay asleep). I wouldn't say it is great for muscle aches and pains though (I use Soak Fitness spray and there is nothing better than it for your muscles). Each night, I place the lavender rub below my nose and on my temples and it is very relaxing. With a lot of allergies, I found that by placing it on my temples relieved a lot of sinus pressure and prevented me from getting congested during the night (which was a big relief)!
The price for this "small" tub is really a good value as the product goes a LONG way! I've used this now for a couple of months and I've barely scratched the surface of the tub. This is something that is a must for me and I don't ever want to be without it!

I actually bought this as a less stinky replacement for Vick's vapo rub, and I'm still planning on using it for that purpose when we get sick. However, tonight my hips and knees were aching and I decided to try this on them. It was great.Of course, this didn't completely remove the pain but I felt significant relief within minutes. I'd say it was as effective as OTC pain relief like Tylenol, Advil or Aleve with no side effects. Also, because it's lavender based, it's very calming, so it's great to use at bedtime.
