i love this smell. its smells like lemon and slightly like grass. i add about 4 drops to an 8 ounce spray bottle. i add other products like aloe vera juice, veggie glycerin, kinky curly knot today and other natural products for my hair. not the lemon oil smells more like lemon peels and isnt as strong as lemon grass but still good. i highly recommend this for people who want to change the smell of any certain hair products. i dont know about skin but i know this works for hair. the plantlife company has a website describing what the different oils do for you. i know that adding these oils to water maintain a ph balance that of water, so it is still good for your hair. i am black and have natural type 4 hair. i hope this helps!!

Goes a long way, I add a drop to lotion and I love how it helped firm the skin, but you will smell like pledge for awhile.
