Over at least a dozen years, every one of the few times I've gone to the doctor, they have consistently recommended taking Omega 3 ... so I just take it. I also used to work in a Family Practice Medical office, and the docs there also suggested taking it.
Nutrition and supplements are not my specialty, and I mostly don't believe in them ... unless, of course, the doctors in my life consistently recommend them. So I consulted our "Family Member Nurse" about the Nordic Wellness Omega-3 Fish Oil tablets to get more information.
Our "Family Member Nurse" pulled her own personal Omega 3 out of her refrigerator and explained to me that it is the amounts of EPA and the DHA that are important. In comparing the Nordic Wellness with the nurse's Omega 3's, the Nordic Wellness had slightly more of both the EPA and DHA than her own personal brand, and at better price.
I noticed that these Nordic Wellness Omega 3's are also manufactured in the United States, which, as I understand it, has generally more reliable control of the actual ingredients, product labeling and product distribution than the pharmaceuticals from some other countries. The lot number (30693), manufacturing date (03-13) and Expiration Date (03-15) are clearly marked on the bottom of the bottle.
There are 120 softgel tablets in my bottle, each with 1,000 mg of fish oil, 400 mg of EPA, and 300 mg of DHA. I definitely prefer the softgel tablets to dry, "scratchy" tablets, as they are quite easy to swallow. And the top is "sealed for your protection" with plastic shrink wrap.

As a faithful Omega 3 supplement taker for years, I've tried a variety of brands. Actually, it's a family affair in our household since my husband and kids all take daily fish oil supplements too. Most recently our vet recommended we even give Omega-3s to our family dog to keep her coat healthier and to reduce skin irritations. We've all been hearing the benefits of fish oil for years now, but it was certainly surprising to learn that even our pet could benefit from taking them. Guess that should tell us all something....if you're not already taking this supplement, you should be!

The American Heart Association recommends eating fish particularly fatty fish such as mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines to name a few. Nordic Wellness Omega-3 Fish Oil is made with Sardines.
I have tried fish oil pills in the past and have not liked them because they cause belching and a foul after taste. I have tried these tablets without those side affects which makes the product superior in my opinion.
If you are going to take Omega 3 Fish oil tablets this is the product for you I would recommend this product to all my friends and family.

I have had fish oil caps before that I just hated for the
fishy tasting, naaasssty fish burps. Not a problem with these.

There is a lot of fish oil in this pill, so it is rather large. That scared me at first, but it is so smooth that it goes down more easily than a lot of other smaller supplements I've taken. I really don't like to take a bunch of smaller dose pills -who has time for that? I prefer this super strength one. I'm a very happy customer.
