I have very long older hair (I'm in my early 60's) It's thick but since I don't color it it is somewhat wiry. It's hard to tell if

it's helping as I also use the conditioner which I love. It smells nice and doesn't seem to be drying it out.

I love this shampoo. I have thin hair and it gives it body and makes it feel healthy. I use the shampoo with the hair masque conditioner and they work well together. I use the voluminous shampoo as well and love that too.

I am Asian and have fairly thick, slightly longer than shoulder-length hair that has never been processed (permed or colored). I work out 4 to 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day.

I first used Rene Furturer hair products at the recommendation of a terrific NYC hair stylist in the 1990s (when we all had $$$!) This line was not easy to find, and I would make a point of stocking up on shampoo & conditioner when I traveled to France.

Fast forward to present; after years of going "cheap" on shampoo & conditioner and putting up with frizzy hair, occasional dandruff, & the not-so-great scent these products leave after 2 days, I decided to go back to this line.

It seems Rene Furturer has expanded their lines; I couldn't figure out my hair/scalp type, but I chose this shampoo since it was labeled "frequent use."

The scent is a little different it's close to "pine," but not really "floral." It may put you off at first, but don't worry, your hair will NOT smell like the shampoo does straight out of the bottle.

Pros: 1) It rinses out really well, and doesn't leave an "after" scent, esp after you've gotten all sweaty in the gym.

2) It leaves my hair soft & manageable. Even without conditioner, my hair gets untangled with this shampoo alone.

2) You don't need much of this shampoo per use abt 3/4 teaspoon for me (I guess less if you have short hair). So 10 oz will last.

Cons: 1) price but that depends on your priorities. As a friend pointed out, you can spend $$$$ on designer clothes, but you "wear" your hair every day...

Bottom line yes, I would recommend this product to a friend with similar hair type and heavy work out schedule.
