Never having used, or even having heard of, Shea butter I was surprised at it's effectiveness. I'm over 80, with very dry skin and small white patches of dead skin. Lubricating creams do little to help. After the first application of Shea butter the dead spots were completely erased and have not returned. My dry skin, especially back of my hand, elbows and ankles are smooth and lubricated for days after use. I'm surprised and gratified at this unexpected result.

When I started to use this product, I had a few open wounds that would not heal for several weeks and it was really painful. The very next day it started to heal and really fast! Now 3 or 4 days later, it's almost completely gone!! The skin on my feet and hands was really dry and was getting to look wrinkled and that helped immediately with this as well.I love the smell but I also love the fact that it is completely natural and I'm not putting bad chemicals on my body.
BTW, I use to use very expensive creams and this is way better and so much cheaper!!!!My skin had become so sensitive that even my dermatologist had run out of suggestions for products. Every moisturizer or cream that I used would burn like fire for a few minutes after I applied it. My Shea Butter does not burn at all. It soothes my skin, and the effect lasts so that when I apply my makeup it doesn't sting either. I love the way it feels on my hands, arms and legs. The effect is amazingly long lasting. Is it OK to use on my face or just other parts of the body?I generally have a low opinion of product descriptions and very little faith in the truthfulness of manufacturers. "Contains wonderful ingredient X" on a label usually means "Contains just enough of popular ingredient X to allow us to legally claim its there, but not enough to actually benefit anyone." I was pleasantly surprised to experience a rich, deep, powerful, aroma of lemongrass in significant amount when opening this product. Using it on my hands to test revealed quality Shea butter behaviors, absorbing nicely into my cracked, dry skin leaving behind hydrated skin with a lemongrass aroma that lingered for hours.
