I wasn't sure what to expect, as I have never used Ginger essential oil before. I was pleasantly surprised with the aromajust like freshly grated ginger root. The oil is potent and pure. It is great for settling tummies, aches and pains, and even flavoring food.

As a licensed massage therapist, I include this brand of ginger oil in an aromatherapy mixture I make for the tired, sore muscles of my low back and hands after a day of work to pamper myself and help my body recover from the physical demands of my career. The Nature's Kiss ginger oil has a more mild ginger odor, so I don't wreak of ginger after application which is nice; I still find it to be effective in soothing inflammation and tightness while producing a pleasant warming sensation in the muscles. This would be a 4.5 with me if there were finer increments of grades to choose. I have several Nature's Kiss therapeutic grade essential oils to compare with the higher price DoTerra oils as my supply of those begins to run out. Frankly I have found that the comparison can go either way--there is usually a difference, but my preference is not always clearly for one over the other [On a sniff test alone, I'd choose the Nature's Kiss sandalwood over DoTerra, and it's a tie for the frankincence.] In this case, the ginger scent of the DoTerra oil was fresher straight out of the bottle, a more purely ginger scent than the Nature's Kiss. Nature's Kiss is not a bad scent, just not as purely ginger. After a short time with one sample on each wrist, I could not have choose which was more pleasant. They were still slightly different, but both very nice.
Given the tremendous price differential, and that both brands would rate a 4 or 5 with me, I will almost certainly continue to order Nature's Kiss when it's time for a replacement. The cost of DoTerra's glitzy advertising and MLB marketing is surely a large part of the price differential, and their shipping costs are usually much higher as well.I actually ordered the scent Ginger, because I love the smell of fresh Ginger. The essential oil was not quite what I expected. I will order from this company again.This is really good ginger. How could this not be another favorite essential oil? And one of my favorite companies? Very good quality oils without the hype or run-up in prices for the hype.
