I have extremely itchy skin on my legs (maybe because I'm pregnant). I itch so bad that I scratch so bad until I bleed (I know, I'm a lunatic). :o) Moisturizer or lotion never helped (plus I hate the feel of lotion on my skin), so when I saw this, thought I'd give it a try. It was the best thing I've ever done. It calms the itch, I don't go crazy scratching and it leaves my skin extremely soft. My skin is so soft... my husband loves it! I add the oil to my bath. If I take a shower I use it as I would soap then rinse off. The instructions do say to pat dry, so do not rub. I rubbed dry and all the oil came off. I'm also extremely sensitive/allergic to fragrances and the smell doesn't bother me one bit. Once I dry off, I can't even smell it. Yes the oil will stay on your skin immediately after the shower but it will go away. I've always hated the feel of lotion on my palms, but once I dry off, this product doesn't leave my palms oily at all. All I can say is follow the instructions on the bottle. I hope they keep making this... it's wonderful.

I've been using Aveeno Shower & Bath oil for years. If they ever stop making it, I don't know what I will do. It goes on easy, absorbs well, smells nice, and doesn't leave you feeling all greasy. I highly recommend this if you have dry or ashy skin. I think Amazon's price went up recently, so it's a little bit cheaper at Drugstore.com and they have the same free shipping deal.I suffer from psorasis and this product works so well for anyone suffering from this skin disorder. Please use this or the Eucerin Calming Oil I think you will see significant improvement in your skin I know I have.Unfortunately when used on my toddler it burned his eczema patch so badly he cried until I washed it off. It's ok if the skin is not inflamed but I would be very careful on rashy spots must be the alcohol. We are now using extra virgin olive oil sealed in with petroleum jelly and have excellent results!I agree that Aveeno is expensive compare with other products. But if you experienced what I went through you might agree with me that, how wonderful has a product like this in this world. My son has severe Eczema since he was born. Google the Severe Eczema baby picture and image the battle we went through.This product is not for cure Eczema. It is used for controlling and daily maintenance. I know this sounds funny. This is the life time work of the person who has skin disorder. According to my son's Dermatology, bath oil helps to lock the moisture inside the skin. I found this product in the hospital pharmacy right after the doctor appointment. Because it has been working all these years, I never dare to try other bath oil. Other products might be cheaper and have same function.
There is another reason I didn't try other bath oil. I almost tried all lotions/creams on the market you can name. Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion 18-Ounce Pump works the best. I use it right after I pad try him. According to the doctor, rub and massage the lotion inside the skin to add one more layer to lock the moisture inside the skin. The whole process took over 1 hour daily when my son was young and Eczema wasn't under the control. Once a week after he turned 6.
In Bay Area, Aveeno almost has all its products selling in general store like Target except for this Bath Oil. I only found this product in KAISER Milpitas Pharmacy. I was worried what can I do after I use out my storage. It is great Amazon has it.
