Since this is a natural product, each lamp has it's own unique beauty. One side of mine is darker than the other so if I want more light to shine through, I just turn it around. I love that I can put essential oils in the receptical on the top to diffuse the scent into the room. You can adjust the amount of scent by the amount of essential oil that you put in the receptical. I put 4 6 drops in for a fairly strong scent. It does take a little time for the oils to heat up but the scent lasts quite awhile. I am very pleased with my salt lamp!

I wanted a salt lamp for my office desk and I wanted an oil burner. Obviously you can't have an open flame in the office so this works perfectly so I can still have my oils burning and the beautiful soft glow of the lamp. The metal cup inserted at the top is bigger than a tea light candle so it's a decent size and the cup is removable so you can just take it out of the lamp to fill it with water which helps.
