I love the scent of carnations, but it's not a main note in many perfumes. So I was thrilled to find that this fragrance oil had such a lovely spicy, green carnation scent. When I put this oil on (it is skin safe without dilluting), I smell a "craft shop" smell for about 1/2 second, then a flower shop, then just fresh carnation. Definitely worth purchasing!

smelled and owned this years ago. Just got it again. Just as good today. Delightfully spicy. Spicier than the average single carnation, but still absolutely delightful.

I bought this to add to the water from my store bought flowers. Hothouse flowers do not have a strong smell and I love the smell and look of carnations. I add one to two drops to the water of my cut flowers, and it smells wonderful!

Fragrant flowers are my professional specialty. At home, I grow red and pink carnations in my garden. I've always loved the fragrance of carnations, and I wanted to wear the scent and put it in my diy lotions. I also happen to be extremely picky about perfumes, which so often don't smell quite right, smell different on my skin than they do in the bottle, or just most of the time ruin products like hair conditioners and soaps for me by being downright offensive. I'm blown away by the accuracy of this carnation oil. Very potent, too--I just barely touched the edge of the oily cap to my wrist to test it; now there is a cloud of carnation yumminess following me around the house. It smells exactly as though I have a fresh carnation in a vase. I'm also very pleased that the scent is not changing as it sits on my skin. This is exactly what I wanted, something that I have been looking for for many years. I'm glad that I took a chance ordering this without being able to smell it first, especially since a couple of reviewers thought that it didn't smell like carnations--I just don't know what to say about this! Take the bottle to a florist shop and compare.
