I'll admit to initially feeling skeptical because good quality Clary Sage oil is not so inexpensive. I'm happy that I suspended disbelief and made the purchase.
One of the aspects of good Clary Sage is an earthy/smoky note that evolves and becomes more pronounced in the dry down. At first bright, almost like lemon, the smoke quality begins to emerge as the top note mellows. A fragrance similar to lavender is also present. This is consistent with the scent of the plant: break a bit off a leaf and you'll observe the same scents. Although this is not a blend, the characteristics of many plants and their extracted oils behave as though they are combined scents. It is that base note that tells me it's a good essential oil and the "real deal". The scent seemed to depart in entirety after about six hours. I used the undiluted Essential oil directly on my skin (I live dangerously, perhaps?) and was surprised that it dissipated so quickly. I'll try it in dilute form. Perhaps a good carrier oil will extend the life of the scent.
As an aside: the prices for the oils are surprisingly low, so it's perhaps unfair to complain about the cost of shipping. It was a bit weird to pay about 3/4ths the price for shipping as the cost of two essential oils purchased in a single order. I assumed there would be a combined shipping cost, but this was not the case. The oils were shipped quickly and packed safely, which is always terrific. I suppose these folks need to eat and pay their utility bills like the majority of the rest of us. Considering such high quality at low cost, it's perhaps mean-spirited to expect not to pay double shipping for two oils sent in a single mailer via First Class mail. So what may appear less expensive than a competitor's product may indeed be offset by how that competitor structures their shipping prices.
I would recommend including a couple of small vials of other Essential Oils as "Testers", which typically increases sales while taking a bit of the sting out of the high shipping costs.

I first heard about Clary Sage after Googling products that grow hair. I came acoss Clary Sage and decided to give it a try. I noticed immediately it's strong potent scent which didn't sit well with me because it doesnt wash away BUT what I also noticed was how rapidly my hair was growing. People kept commenting on how much my hair was growing and what product was I using. I instantly told them about Clary Sage. Keep in mind, I did mix this with Jojoba oil which is what I feel yielded such quick results. But nevertheless, I will definately purchase again!!Buy Clary Sage 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil- 10 ml Now

I had never used or smelled Clary Sage before but reading the product description online it sounded like something I might like so I ordered it and I've been very happy with it since it arrived. The Edens Garden site lists: Common Uses: Clary Sage is viewed by aromatherapists as an antidepressant, antispasmodic, deodorant, emmenagogue, hypotensive, nervine, sedative, tonic and uterine. It is well known for providing a euphoric action, for balancing uterine issues, and as an agent to clean greasy hair. There is also some documentation of its effectiveness in helping to relax the spasms of asthma.Since I wanted to make my own shampoo and conditioner and I have oily hair I thought it might work for me. Not only does it work wonderfully in my homemade shampoo and conditioner, it smells like the Earth and I love it. I also added a few drops into the solid deodorant I made and can't wait to make more things with their wonderful oils!!

I bought this oil to help with migraines. It is very sweet smelling, like lemongrass and chamomile. The scent is extremely pleasant and I would recommend it. So far for my migraines, I think it will be a good addition.
