I recently ordered this product thinking I would receive both the shampoo and conditioner (33.8oz), but when I received the package only the shampoo was in the box. A hundred bucks for what will be at least six months' worth of beautiful hair seems a decent deal to me. This is as good as or better than the pureology hydrate combination without the annoying mint in the conditioner. I used it on my very over-processed hair and it looks shockingly healthy. It's the best I've ever used. It makes hair a little heavy (for damaged hair, that's welcome) as well as soft and shiny. after being diagnosed with RA and starting medication which consists of chemo-my hair had it. this product really brought my hair back to life and not as much is falling out. well my brand changed its formula and smells like a cheap air freshener so ive been looking for a replacement. i just tried out this bottle and it actually IS unscented. I have to say for a girl like me this is expensivebut it just might be the one. it is truely unscented and gets your hands clean with no residue or film. it didnt lather very well but thats a small price to pay. considering the fact that the product is cruelty free is a great bonus and another reason to support them buy buying this.

This is a truly great product. I have had a couple of wool sweaters come back from the dry cleaner rough and stiff, albeit clean. It is really true that the cleaning solution removes the natural oils that keep your wool soft. When I needed to clean a cashmere sweater, I purchased The Laundress Cashmere Shampoo. My sweater came out clean, soft and smelling wonderful (if you like the scent of cedar). You do have to have patience to swish your sweater in a tub, rinse and wrap in a towel, then lay flat. You will be rewarded a thousand times over, though. My sweaters actually seemed to be in better condition than when they went into the tub. I purchased this product after it was recommended on Ideal Bite. This stuff is fabulous. I've washed 15 cashmere and wool sweaters and have barely made a dent in the bottle. (I have a "he" washer and only need to use half the usual amount.) I also add Downy to the rinse cycle, so my sweaters smell ever so much better than they ever did after a trip to the dry cleaner. The soap itself has a very mild, pleasant smell. My sweaters are actually softer than they were before, too. Rather than dry flat, I use a "hanging garment drying rack" also purchased at Amazon. Really, this is so much cheaper than dry cleaning and the results are so much better. The Laundress's Wool and Cashmere Shampoo is just all around great. I first tried the product on a grey and black striped sweater, that, if ruined, I wouldn't have been too upset. I filled my kitchen sink up with cool water, added some detergent, swished around to dissolve, then added the sweater (inside out). I swished the sweater around for a couple minutes, paying attention to the edges and underarm area, then left overnight to soak. The next day, I pressed the water out and rinsed until the water ran clear (also cool water). I let air dry on a sweater rack. Let me tell you, the sweater looks and FEELS amazing (no dry cleaner stiffness) and, though the shampoo is cedar-scented, once your garment is dry, you can hardly detect it. The black stripes didn't fade at all, and the colors did not bleed into each other. Based on this result, I've washed angora, merino wool, and cashmere/wool blends all with excellent results. And it doesn't take that long to hand wash! Just let the overnight soak do the work for you. This is truly a great product, and I would recommend to anyone who wants an all natural, easy, and efficient way to clean their wool and cashmere sweaters (and angora it worked great on angora).

It is very citrus at first, and then smooths into an earthier light scent.This scent is superb. I use it in a diffuser. I wouldn't know how to describe a scent well, although this scent seems "romantic and manly". The manly phrase can be dropped, but romantic describes this scent to a tee. That's just one opinion though. I have a lot of allergies in regard to scents (colognes, perfumes, and incense), but this natural scent doesn't bother me. It's an addictive scent to say the least. The scent advertises itself as a stress relief scent, and I can attest that I agree.I am a licensed Esthetician, and I like to use Aromatherapy in my room while I am doing skin-care treatments. My favorites are the Eden Garden blends. I could blend essential oils for myself (and I have in the past), but these are as good as I could do, and make my life much easier. I like to use the Invigorate or the Renew Blend for clients who come to me in the morning or midday hours so they can return to work or their daytime routines feeling good without being too sleepy or relaxed. For my after-work and evening clients, I use the Stress Relief or the Relaxation Blend to help my clients unwind from their day. They always compliment me on how good it smells in my treatment room, and I really feel the scents affect their moods in a positive way.

I recently tried this shampoo looking for a brand that didn't contain sodium laurel sulfate (itchy scalp oy!), or penetration enhancers like Propylene Glycol (allows other chemicals to penetrate skin), preservatives like Methylparaben (which may alter hormone levels and put unborn child at risk), Cocamide DEA /MEA (may contain impurities or combine with other chemicals to form carcinogenic nitrosamines), and (Cocamidopropyl Betaine which may containe nitrosamines). I have a sensitivity to srong perfumes and scents that have forced me to rarely use any kind of store-bought shampoos, even baby shampoo, which can be highly perfumed for some reason. When I buy a bottle, it lasts for years, because the only thing I've found that doesn't cause me problems in the shower is Original (Aqua) Zest soap, and that is what I use from head to toe. I rarely use shampoo because the typical strong scent makes my eyes water and gives me a sinus headache. Years ago, Ivory Soap made unscented shampoo and conditioner that was the best product I had ever used, but they discontinued production due to poor sales. I wish I had bought a case of Ivory before it halted. I purchased the Earth Science shampoo and have used it twice. It's great! It performs well when it comes to sudsing-up and cleaning. If I used an amount equal to 2 teaspoonsful each application, I'd be surprised. I had no ill affects, what so ever. I highly recommend this product for anyone that has a sensitivity to highly scented shampoos. The only complaint I have is that the shipping for my order was more than the actual cost of the product. It cost me about $10 for this shampoo, but so far, for me, it's worth it.
